In September, the EMMA team made 3 production releases, introducing 11 new feature enhancements, fixes, and configuration changes focused on improving data accuracy, grievance workflows, and importer reliability.
Here’s a summary of what’s new in EMMA for September:
Feature Changes and Enhancements
- Added a workflow that automatically updates all related records when company names are changed, keeping company data consistent across EMMA.
Fixes
- Restored the fallback recipient setup for members without email addresses by reactivating the configured user and email settings.
- Improved importer reliability by ensuring affiliation dates are set and preserved during updates, and protected fields remain unchanged when using the “No Overwrite” option.
Configuration Changes
- Enhanced grievance workflows by fixing steward selection, implementing the Advance Grievance module with email and tracking features, and updating grievance info fields to align with each union’s internal terminology and roles.
- Updated grievance PDFs for certain customer to correctly display “Member Name: GENERAL” when applicable.
- Activated the shift field in Work Location to support a customer’s new shift tracking initiative.
