In October, the EMMA team made 6 production releases, introducing 19 new feature enhancements, fixes, and configuration changes focused on importer reliability, grievance workflows, and data integrity.
Here’s a summary of what’s new in EMMA for October:
Feature Changes and Enhancements
- Improved digital authorization card flows for a customer by supporting admin-approved cards without full identifiers. Executed the rollout of a digital authorization card platform for an existing client, enhancing user experience and streamlining data capture.
- A new people management report lets accounting clients see members’ current and arrear charges all in one file.
- To improve data accuracy, Active members will now only be visible under the location(s) where they are currently employed (Employment Status is set to Active).
- (Applicable to Accounting Clients Only) The Key Person field will now be preserved when a member changes to Temporary Withdrawal status.
- Accounting clients now get a New Hire Summary Report every morning, providing a breakdown of yesterday’s new hire imports, including initiation fee status and reasons.
- The system now properly logs field updates to blank values (reversing a change made two years ago).
- Implemented a new setting that allows us to disable the Billing Schedule check on each EMMA system when it’s not needed, reducing unnecessary job processing and system load.
- Completed the first phase of development to automate membership reporting to the international for one of our customers.
Fixes
- Resolved an issue allowing multi-field selection in the Change Log.
- Resolved an issue where selected contract sections and articles were not appearing on a grievance after being chosen from the dropdown.
- Fixed an issue where the system was incorrectly reading ‘True’ in First/Last Name fields as a technical value, causing import rejections. Imports now properly accept the name ‘True’.
- Corrected the required fields for signup approvals system-wide to ensure PDFs generate correctly.
