The EMMA team started 2025 strong with 7 production deployments, delivering 12 updates with new features, enhancements, and fixes in January. These improvements refine membership stats, admin controls, and financial accuracy for a smoother user experience.
Here’s a summary of what’s new in EMMA for January:
Feature Changes and Enhancements
- Admins can now define which work positions contribute to membership statistics with the new ‘Include Position in Membership Stats’ field. This gives greater flexibility to how locals count members that work multiple union positions simultaneously. We will share a video of this soon!
- We added an administrative interface that allows Frontera’s non-engineering team to modify Person Type settings (and other critical settings) without needing an engineer or a new software deployment to make changes. This enhances flexibility and greatly speeds our response time for routine changes to EMMA settings.
Fixes
- Resolved issues with grievance templates, inactive work locations, and billing profile filters for better data accuracy.
- Fixed dues rate population, initiation fee generation, and person type history tracking to enhance financial consistency and historical record transparency.
