In July the EMMA team made 8 new production releases to EMMA that contained 40 feature enhancements, fixes, and configuration changes for customers. We also converted a legacy customer to EMMA Membership Accounting and brought new customers up on EMMA for the first time. Here are some highlights of what’s new in EMMA:
New Features and Feature Enhancements
- We enhanced the way that the EMMA Document Scanner names files to eliminate the possibility of duplicate file names.
- Engineers continued to improve the EMMA Importer by adding settings that provide more flexibility in how the importer handles Position information for people with various billable status values.
- We updated the EMMA Electronic Signup System so that members joining via the web are matched more accurately with existing records in the EMMA database.
- We expanded the capabilities of the EMMA Membership Accounting system so that it can now bill for numerous fees and assessments as part of the regular billing process.
- We streamlined the process of setting-up new members in EMMA Membership Accounting to make it simpler and smoother with fewer clicks.
- We upgraded the “Following” feature in EMMA Membership Management, making it easier to keep up with members that hold multiple simultaneous positions.
Customer Configuration Changes
We fielded 10 requests from customers in July asking for a variety of configuration changes to their EMMA system. As always, these changes were made without cost to customers. Change request included the creation of custom fields, changing screen layouts, as well as adding filter values to make it easier to query and report on data in EMMA.
